A mindful tarot reading ritual for clearer self-reflection
A thoughtful tarot reading can become more useful when it begins with a clear intention rather than a rushed question. I’ve been experimenting with a simple ritual: take three slow breaths, write one open-ended question, draw a card, and record the first feeling or image that stands out before consulting any interpretation.
For digital practice, I sometimes use this free tarot reading and then compare its interpretation with my own notes. For transparency, I’m connected with the project; I’m sharing it as the tool I use, not as the only way to read tarot.
The most interesting part is often the gap between the traditional card meaning and our immediate response. That contrast can reveal assumptions, hopes, or fears we were carrying into the reading.
Do you have a grounding or cleansing ritual before drawing cards? And when reading for yourself, how do you separate intuition from wishful thinking?
